Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after the first time she tried out. Felix signed a contract for a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to study elementary education. A year later Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. She was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
