Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as an actress and Bond model with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody started modeling after being approached by an experienced photographer. The result was an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody was adamantly against the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity in her modelling career. After being spotted by to the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 when she took on the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl to date. in 1987 Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA member Siobhan Doovan. Doody had an unspoken role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead role in the film Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role ever as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody appeared in the 1991 British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson role. She then played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody played a role in The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony to receive an award. Doody's roles include an appearance in a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also to be the main character for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018, she won the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and was awarded a Star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
