Jazmine

Jazmine is the name of an American performer and songwriter. She received international recognition for her debut album. She was nominated at the 51st Grammy Awards in multiple categories such as Best New Artist and best R&B Female Vocal Performance. Her track Bust Your Windows got placed as number 137 on the national public radio's lists titled The 200 Greatest Songs By 21st Century Women. Jazmine was a student at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts with an instructor of vocal music and received her degree in 2005.

Sasha is transgender when she began her high school career. Sasha had to face some tough times however she was confident that his family would be there for him and that music could help. Jim and Sasha both are songwriters. They have been playing at local venues along with open mics and in other places. The Voice coaches never discussed Sasha's past, however Jim and Sasha have shared their story through a short video that was played prior to their performance. Both Jim and Sasha discussed the music they like in addition to how Sasha took up guitar the very first time at age six. As his father is a professional music educator Sasha was more able to grasp the concept. Sasha had a difficult time as a kid with the gender of his identity.
