Sasha was transgender in the early years of her high school years. Sasha had a difficult time however he was confident that with the help of his family and music they would help him handle it. Jim and Sasha are now an official pair. Both songwriters have performed at various locales and open mics. Although The Voice coaches did not discuss Sasha's backstory, he as well as Jim talked about their lives in an introductory clip played prior to their performance. Sasha first started playing guitar aged six. Jim and Sasha talked about their musical tastes and shared stories about the first time they met. His father is a music instructor, making studying the art of playing easier for him. Sasha was born a female and was struggling to establish his identity when he was young. In an Instagram posting, he opened up recently about the struggles he's had. Jim was overwhelmed with emotion as he outlined his reasons for not being in a position to assist during these difficult moments. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant, was born as a girl. Sasha Allen, The Voice contestant, will turn 19 in 2021. Sasha made public his trans identity during the first year of high school and began transitioning from male to female. "I'm the third transperson to ever appear on the show, and I'm so excited to be a part of this trans-inclusive community on a massive platform," Sasha wrote on Instagram.
