Patina Patina PatinaMiller performed the role of lead in the Stephen Schwartz's 1972 Broadway production of "Pippin". Directed by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus, and also starring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th annual Tony Awards. Patina changed the role of Ben Vereen. She is a Tony Award-winning actor. She also mastered Fosse's movements which are so vital to the production. The performance of Patina earned her a Tony Award in the category of Best Actress, Lead Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was as well in recognition of Outstanding Actress. In December 2012 through January 2013, she played the Leading Player of the American Repertory Theater's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
