Jennifer Nettles

Nettles was heavily influenced by a splendid mixture of blues, rock folk, blues, and soul These influences are evident well in her music. Her musical career started in 1996 when she performed as a Soul Miner's daughter, in Atlanta and Decatur. She has been singing since the age of seven, Nettles certainly is not unwilling to display her humorous style, and she's not unwilling to take on the challenge of constantly write and sing powerful, honest, soul-charging songs filled with captivating lyrics. Her songs can be filled with amazing richness and personality, whereas others will leave listeners stunned and in awe. Jennifer Nettles Band makes regular excursions to renowned venues such as that of the Variety Playhouse, Athens (40 Watts) and the city's Mercury Lounge. The songs she writes are poetic in lyrics and performs them in a way that's funny and exciting. Her audience loves her and is continuing to delight them. Sasha is transgender when she began her high school career. Sasha had to face some tough times however she was confident that his family would be there for him and that music could help. Jim and Sasha both are songwriters. They have been playing at local venues along with open mics and in other places. The Voice coaches never discussed Sasha's past, however Jim and Sasha have shared their story through a short video that was played prior to their performance. Both Jim and Sasha discussed the music they like in addition to how Sasha took up guitar the very first time at age six. As his father is a professional music educator Sasha was more able to grasp the concept. Sasha had a difficult time as a kid with the gender of his identity.
